ROB  ALICEA

Rob Alicea is an award-winning Latino Filmmaker. Best known for creating the comedy series Adulthood (2017 HBO New York Latino Film Festival), it was Rob's genre turn with supernatural thriller The Hat Man that led to him being one of the most sought-after directors in horror. Most recently, Rob penned the script Just Smile, follow-up to Luz Films' 2024 Sundance Grand Jury Prize Winner, In the Summers.

Rob’s body of work includes writing, directing, and producing for Netflix, as well as numerous independent film, documentary, commercial, and music video projects. Rob dedicates his free time to the mentorship of young filmmakers and serving as the co-founder of Latinos In Film + Entertainment (L.I.F.E.).
