Rob Alicea is a film + commercial director from Queens, NY. Best known for creating the comedy series Adulthood (2017 HBO New York Latino Film Festival), it was his genre turn with supernatural thriller The Hat Man that established Rob as a terrifying new voice in horror. In December 2024, Rob made his feature directorial debut with A.I. Thriller SERENA [per Deadline].

 

With a sharp eye for narrative and a deep understanding of comedy and genre, Rob’s commercial work bridges the gap between emotional impact and visual style. Whether parodying classic films or crafting sleek branded content, Rob's work is infused with depth and originality.

As Co-Founder of Latinos In Film + Entertainment (L.I.F.E.), Rob dedicates his free time to the mentorship of underrepresented filmmakers.
